MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CSS:

CPU: 1.2GHz or higher.
RAM: 256MB or higher.
Disk space: 1gb or higher.
Graphics card: DirectX 7 level graphics card.
Operating System: Windows 2000/xp/vista/64-bit
Internet Connection Any internet connection will suffice: Dial-Up, DSL, Cable, e.t.c

WHAT WE RECOMMEND:

CPU: 1.6GHz or higher. (Core size does not matter)
RAM: 1GB (for Windows XP), 2GB (for Windows Vista)
Disk space: 3GB (for all the map downloads e.t.c)
Graphics card: DX8 or better using 128MB of RAM and at least a 250MHz core processor (If you are unsure of your video card's exact specifications please 'Google' your model)
Operating System: Windows XP/Windows Vista/64-bit (they all work with Counter-Strike: Source)
Internet Connection: We recommend a DSL connection or better (dial-up is rather slow)

Our recommendations will give you a decent FPS game (around 50-100fps) if you meet all the recommendations or better.

EDIT: The intel 945 and 8 series cards produced in alot of laptops today CANNOT handle the video stress that css requires!!! if you are experiencing lag and have an intel video card please upgrade the video card!
